Baseball alumnus John T. Finley dies at age 69

Former St. Thomas and Cretin High baseball standout John T. Finley died Monday at age 69. Finley was awarded UST Baseball's Alumni of the Year Award in 2008 for his career accomplishments. He was selected to the Cretin-Derham Hall Hallof Fame for baseball.

An attorney, Finley served seven terms as Ramsey County Commissioner and was a Ramsey County District Court judge from 1996 until his retirement in 2008.

Survivors by his wife Jackie, three children, two sisters and three brothers. His funeral is Saturday morning in St. Paul.
