Ty Stenzel

Strength & Conditioning Coach

     Ty Stenzel is starting his 19th season as the full-time Strength and Conditiioning coach for UST varsity athletics. The Freeborn, Minn., native played football for the Minnesota Gophers and received a bachelor's degree from the U of M in 1990. He was a graduate assistant coach one season there and came to UST in fall 1991. He's received his Master's and PhD in Education from St. Thomas. His wife, Decia, was an All-American and 3X Big Ten champion in the javelin for the Gophers. In weightlifting, Decia competed in six World Championships and held an American record in her career.
