Waldvogel shines, leads team to GFL crown

Fritz Waldvogel had another remarkable stat line on Saturday to help rally the Schwabisch Hall Unicorns to s 56-53 comeback win over Kiel Baltic in the championship game of the German Football League.

Waldvogel had 18 receptions for 290 yards and two touchdowns. He finished with 370 all-purpose yards on 25 touches.

Schwabisch Hall trailed 53-38 midway through the fourth quarter when Waldvogel caught a 56-yard scoring pass to cut the lead to eight. The Unicorns got another TD and two-point play to tie as Waldvogel had three catches on that drive. They won the game with a 47-yard field goal with 34 seconds to play.
