Hilliard gets Sugar Bowl trip with Good Works team

Tommie senior Jeffrey Hilliard will make his third plane trip of December next week as he flies to New Orleans for the AllState Sugar Bowl.

Hilliard is one of 22 members of the American Football Coaches' Association Good Works Team. The honored players received an expenses-paid trip to the bowl game, where they'll be introduced on the field. They also will work together on a service project in the community.

Hilliard and his Tommie teammates flew to Oregon for their Dec. 5 playoff game at Linfield College. That was St. Thomas' first-ever plane trip to a game. last week, Hillaird played on the USA Star and Stripes all-star team in a bowl game in Mexico.
