FB's Kessler gets MIAC weekly award

St. Thomas defensive tackle Ben Kessler (SR-Janesville, Wis./Craig) was named MIAC Special Teams Player of the Week Monday.

In Saturday's 24-21 loss to Coe, Kessler blocked a first-quarter punt that was recovered near the goal line and led to a go-ahead touchdown. On defense Kessler had a sack, four solo tackles, three assisted tackles and a tipped pass.
