Pradia joins UST football staff

May 01, 2007

St. Thomas football coach Don Roney announced the hiring of Brent Pradia as a full-time assistant coach. Pradia replaced Carson Walch, who accepted a full-time position coaching on the staff at Winona State.

A Houston, Tex., native, Pradia will coach the Tommies' defensive backs and serve as special-teams coordinator.

He formerly served as defensive coordinator, recruiting coordinator and strength and conditioning coach at NAIA's Peru State (Neb.) University, and also coached two seasons at Division II Wayne State (Neb.), where he received a Master's degree in Sports Management.

Prior to moving to Nebraska, Pradia coached one season as the secondary coach of the Waco (Texas) Marshals of the Indoor Professional Football League.

He was a starting free safety at Kansas Wesleyan University, where he was named all-conference and all-district and received a degree in Physics in 1994.

Pradia was also an outstanding free safety at Kansas Wesleyan University, where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Physics, in 1994. He was selected All-Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference and All-District 10.

Pradia and his wife Naomi plan to reside in the St. Paul area.
