Kevin Zack starts his third full season as the Equipment Room Supervisor at the University of St. Thomas in 2016. Joining the athletics staff in April of 2014, Zack’s duties include adhering to the equipment needs of all 22 St. Thomas varsity sports.
Kevin oversees the ordering and distribution of all practice gear and game uniforms, along with any other equipment needs of each team, including all maintenance and purchasing of new equipment. In addition, Zack plays a key role in game day set up and take down, as well as facility maintenance.
Zack makes his way to St. Thomas after spending the past two years at Saint Agnes High School. While at Saint Agnes, Kevin played a key role in equipment and facility maintenance. Zack also brings experience in the equipment room of the National Football League’s (NFL) Minnesota Vikings.
Beginning in the summer of 2008, Kevin interned with the Vikings for six seasons. During his time with the team, Zack’s responsibilities have included laundry, equipment issue, and organizing the training camp equipment room among numerous others. His most recent duties involve game day operations, which he will continue in 2016.
A native of North Branch, Minn., Zack graduated from Saint Agnes in 2008. Kevin went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in Sport Management from Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa. While at Loras, Zack found his niche as the manager for the football team, earning the Team Appreciation Award in 2009 before graduating in the spring of 2012.
Kevin and his wife, Becca, reside in Blaine, Minn.
