Rookies leads Toms in dual meet with Bethel

Bethel edged St. Thomas in a men's goal dual meet Friday at Majestic Oaks Golf Course in Ham Lake. The Royals' two teams shot 302 and 328, while the Tommie teams posted scores of 311 and 318.

BU's Mason Swenson was medalist in a field of 24 players with a score of 71. UST's Tyler Flynn was second at 74.

Other UST scorers were Brian Parkhurst, tied for third at 76; Matt Ahart and James Stafford, tied for sixth at 77; Grant Wayland and Grant Shafranski, tied for ninth at 78; Mike Mortenson and Brandon Engebos, tied for 11th at 79; John Young, 15th at 81; Zach Barnum and Sean Barrett, tied for 21st at 85; and Christian Tyllia, who shot 88.
