Barrett leads Men's Golf to sixth in SJU tourney

Sean Barrett tied for sixth in a field of 93 golfers to lead St. Thomas to a sixth-place tie in Sunday's 17-team St. John's Spring Invite in Monticello. The event was shortened from 36 holes to 18 holes due to wet conditions.

St. John's placed first and second in the team scoring at 292 and 299. Placing third through 10th were Bemidji State (303), Gustavus II (306), St. Cloud State (307), St. Thomas, Bethel and Gustavus I (all 308), St. Olaf (310) and Augsburg (311).

Barrett shot 73, James Stafford shot 76, Chris Sall shot 77, Ben Jensen shot 82 and Grant Shafranski shot 83. The Tommies' second team was led by John Baggenstoss and Zach Barnum at 81 and Cutter Tyllia at 82.
