The Tommie men's golf team placed 11th and 13th out of 20 squads in the Saturday-Sunday St. John's Invitational. The No. 2 team shot 321-319/640, and the No. 1 team shot 324-319/623.
St. John's shot 300-296/596 and won by 11 over runner-up UW-Eau Claire. The Tommies took sixth out of 10 MIAC teams.
John Young of the St. Thomas II team tied for third out of 110 entrants with scores of 76-73/149. His round of 73 was the second-low score on Sunday's round.
Grant Shafranski shot 81-75/156 to place 23rd. Mike Mortenson and Bill Mulvahill tied for 40th at 159. Sean Barrett tied for 50th at 161.
Next weekend, the Tommies will have squads at the St. Olaf and UW-Eau Claire Invitationals.
