Golf's John Young shares MIAC weekly award
October 13, 2009Tommie newcomer John Young (FR-Forest Lake) Tuesday was named co-winner of MIAC Athlete of the 
Week honors in men's gollf.
Young was among three MIAC players and nine players in all to share medalist honors in a field of 120 at last Sunday's 18-hole Twin Cities Classic.
Young is the 13th MIAC player and second Tommie to shoot 70 or lower this fall.
In nine fall rounds, Young had a 76.3 stroke average, which ties for 13th best in the MIAC. He placed 19th in the 54-hole conference meet, and was one of seven freshmen to finish in the top 30.
