The St. Thomas men's hockey team built a 3-0 mid-game lead but allowed five consecutive goals in Friday night's 5-4 loss at Concordia-Moorhead.
Parker Burgess scored twice and Evan MacIntosh found the net, but UST allowed three goals in the third period to fall behind 5-3. Rob Johnson's goal with one second left cut the margin to 5-4.
Jared Colln had a hat trick for the Cobbers (4-10-2 overall, 3-2-2 MIAC), who ended a 12-game winless streak against the Tommies (0-11-1).
The Tommies (5-8-3, 2-4-1) have lost four MIAC games in a row. They play again here Saturday at 2 p.m. as they try to salvage a weekend split.
