The Tommie men's hockey team received goals from five different players and assists from six others as it remained unbeaten with a 5-4 non-conference victory over St. Olaf Friday night in Northfield. UST outshot the defending MIAC champs 26-19 and survived 10 penalties.
The Toms (2-0-1) broke a 4-4 deadlock at 7:37 of the third period as Andy Singerhouse, a freshman from Hill-Murray, tallied his first collegiate goal.
Joe Schraeder improved to 2-0-1 on the season in goal and made 15 saves. The Oles (2-1) went 2-for-10 on the power play and killed off all four UST power-play attempts.
Amdrew Kappers had a goal and joined Nick Gorski with assists on the game-winning tally. Alex Arnason, Kevin Mahoney and Rob Philipp also scored goals. It was just the second college goal for Philipp, a sophomore who played in 15 games last season.
UST's 10 season goals have come from nine different players.
St. Thomas plays Saturday night at No. 3-ranked UW-Stout, a 6-1 winner over St. Mary's on Friday night.
