St. Olaf never trailed and scored a 5-2 win St. Thomas in Saturday's MIAC men's hockey game in Mendota Heights.
The Oles (10-7-4 overall, 4-4-4 MIAC) scored two third-period goals inclding an empty-net score in the final 30 seconds.
Isak Tranvik and Derek Grogan had breakaway goals for the Oles in a 3:00 span midway through period one.
Ryan Kurtz scored for the Toms (9-10-4, 6-6-2) but the Oles scored again for a 3-1 lead.
Andrew Kappers scored a power-play goal with 26 seconds left in the second period to cut the lead to 3-2.
St. Olaf was outshot 37-27.
