Connor McBride scored late in period one and Drew Fielding stopped all 16 shots he faced as No. 9-ranked St. Thomas scored a 2-0 win over Hamline in MIAC men's hockey play Saturday night at St. Paul's Oscar Johnson Arena.
An empty-net goal by Tyler Gubb with 10 seconds to play secured the UST victory.
Fielding and the Tommies (12-3-2 overall, 6-0-2 MIAC) recorded a shutout for the second night in a row. He stopped 19 shots in Friday's 8-0 home win. Fielding broke a school and MIAC record with his seventh shutout of the season.
The Toms travel to Minneapolis next Friday night to face Augsburg.
