St. Thomas had three men's soccer players voted to the All-North Region Teams -- for the first time in their careers -- as selected by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA).
Defender Reid Moser-Bliel (JR-Burnsville/Holy Angels) was among 11 players named to the first team. Forward Mike Hutton (SO-Burnsville/Apple Valley) was among 11 second-team honorees. Midfielder Angel Riera (SO-Mpls./DeLaSalle) made the third team.
St. Thomas and UW-Whitewater were the lone teams to have three non-seniors honored. Coach Aaron Macke's team tied for fourth in the conference and reached the MIAC playoffs in a 10-6-2 finish.

In 2009, his four goals included one each in a 3-2 win vs. the Johnnies and in a 2-1 win over Minnesota-Morris. In 56 career games he has five goals and an assist, and the Tommies are 5-0 when he's scored a goal.
Hutton, a two-time All-MIAC honoree, has played in 32 career games and had 22 goals and 10 assists. He was named MIAC Player of the Week in October after scoring two goals and two assists in a 4-0 win over nationally-ranked St. Olaf. UST is 12-5-2 in MIAC play when he's been in uniform, and 17-2 overall when he's scored a point.
Riera, who had just one assist in 17 games as a freshman, was an all-conference honoree in 2009. he had four goals and three assists this season. He scored the game-winning goal in overtime as UST beat Gustavus for the first time this decade, and assisted on the overtime goal that beat nationally-ranked Augsburg. UST was 4-0 when he scored a goal.
