Men's Soccer posts 3-0 win at Loras

The St. Thomas men's soccer team scored a 3-0 win at Loras Sunday in non-conference play in Dubuque, Iowa.

The Tommies (1-0-1) got second-half goals from Chad Nelson (55th minute), Matt Raplinger (64th minute) and Colin Barnet (70th minute) in giving new coach Aaron Macke his first career victory. Junior transfer Joe Roedler assisted on all three goals.

Will Loepfe was in goal and recorded his third shutout in a row dating back to the 2001 season-ending win over Augsburg.

Loras, which tied St. Mary's 1-1 the previous day, dropped to 2-1-1 on the season

The Tommies return home to play Colorado College Sept. 14.
