Men's Soccer wins 2-1 at St. Mary's

The St. Thomas men's soccer team used second-half goals by Matt Michalik and Andy Gikling to break a scoreless tie en route to a 2-1 road victory Saturday at St. Mary's.
Michalik scored in the 50th minute (assisted by Ryan Wright) Gikling scored in the 64th minute (assisted by Henry Nwadula) for the Tommies (9-2-2 overall, 4-1-1 MIAC). UST's Daniel Hutton was in goal all 90 minutes.
UST is now tied for second in the conference with Hamline, one point behind first-place Gustavus. The Toms meet the Gusties Wednesday in St. Peter (4 p.m.).
