Tommie men's and women's swimming and diving teams have again been recognized on the elite Scholar All-America Team by the Collegiate Swimming Coaches Association of America.
Under coach Tom Hodgson, the Tommie men compiled a 3.39 grade-point average this school year. That ranks 12th best in Division III and tops among the five MIAC programs honored.
UST's list includes 25 different men's swimmers or divers with a cumulative gpa of 3.33 or higher.
A total of 79 men's teams posted a team gpa of 3.00 or higher to receive the All-America designation.
On the women's side, St. Thomas ranked in the top 65 out of 130 honored teams with its 3.35 team gpa. That was led by 24 UST women with cumulative gpas of 3.30 or better.
Tommies Mariann Kukielka, Wendy Consoer, Emily Punyko were honored as first-team Scholar All-America.
