Men's Swimming tops Cardinals, 53-45

Eric Moeker had a hand in three firsts to lead the St. Thomas men's swimming team to a 53-45 win over visiting St. Mary's Friday night in O'Shaughnessy Pool.

Moeker won the 100 fly (55.37) and 500 free (5:15.21) and teamed with Dave Linn, Jesse Winden and Nick Schleder to win the 200 medley relay (1:43.81).

John Kuykendall won the 50 free (22.78) and 100 free (50.56). Linn won the 200 IM (2:10.34). Schleder won the 100 back (57.46); and Winden won the 100 breaststroke (68.71).

Ryan Gitler won the 200 free for the Cardinals (2:15.71) and SMU also swept the diving.

The Tommies close their dual-meet season next Friday at St. Olaf.
