Pool star Dave Linn ranked in MIAC in five events

Sophomore Dave Linn leads eight St. Thomas men's swimmers who are ranked among the MIAC's top 25 in individual events in competitions through Feb 6.

Linn is seeded in the top 20 in five events -- he's second in the 100 back (54.77) and 200 back (1:59.82), 8th in the 200 IM (2:03.29), thirteenth in the 200 free (1:51.15) and 18th in the 500 free (5:08.96).

Nick Schleder is eighth in the 200 back (2:04.47), and fifteenth in the 100 Back (57.46); Brian Privette is seeded 12th in the 100 breaststroke (64.42), 13th in the 200 breststroke (2:23.34), 21st in the 200 IM (2:09.06), and 25th int eh 100 butterfly (58.56). Eric Moeker is seventh in the 100 butterfly (54.78) and the 200 butterfly (2:07.33), 16th in the 500 free (5:08.43), and 18th in the 100 free (50.35); Luke Taylor is twelveth in the 1,650 free (19:22), and twentysecond in the 1,000 free (11:26.37); John Kuykendall is 13th in both the 50 free (22.43) and the 100 free (49.66). Kuykendall is also 20th in the 200 free(1:53.10). Adam Groebner is 25th in the 1,000 free (11:34.50) and 17th in the 1650 free (20:59.30); Paul Stahler is behind Groebner in 18th in the 1650 free (21:15.73).

St. Thomas has five relays seeded in the top five -- the 200 free (1:32.19) with Winden, Kuykendall, Schleder and Erickson; the 400 free (3:20.09) with Linn, Winden, Kuykendall, and Schleder; 800 free (7:50.77) with Linn, Winden, Kuykendall, and Luke; the 200 medley (1:39.95) with Schleder, Privette, Winden, Erickson; and the 400 Medley (3:40.60) with Linn, Privette, Moeker, and Kuykendall.

The Tommies resume competition February 20-22 for the MIAC Championships. The Meet will be held at the UM-Aquatic Center
