Dave Linn 16th in NCAA 200 backstroke

St. Thomas sophomore Dave Linn placed 16th in the 200 backstroke to earn honorable mention All-American honors for the second year in a row. He scored one team point as the Tommies tied for 46th in the team race. Last season he took 14th in the 200 back.

Linn clocked 1:54.16 in the prelims to qualify 16th and swam 1:55.66 in the consolation finals.

In Friday's 100 backstroke prelims, Linn took 21st of 32 competitors. His time of 52.63 missed the consolation finals by less than a half second.
