Linn ranks near top of MIAC season swim list

Junior Dave Linn is ranked in the top 11 in four events in MIAC men's swimming for the 2003-2004 season. The conference meet will be held Feb. 12-14 at the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center.

Linn, a two-time champion in the 100 and 200 backstroke, is ranked first in that event with a best of 53.12. He also ranks fifth in the 300 backstroke (2:00.00), eighth in the 500 free (5:04.14) and 11th in the 200 IM (2:05.81).

Junior John Kuykendall is ranked 16th in the 200 free (1:52.96) and 17th in both the 50 free (23.06) and the 100 free (50.43). Freshman Alex Bos is ranked 18th in the 200 fly (2:44.50) and freshman Matt Des Marais is seeded 18th in the 1650 free (19:39.97).

On the women's side, diver Jill Singsank is seeded sixth in the one-meter (235.53) and 15th on the three-meter board (161.65); diver Danielle Lindeman is eighth on three-meter (250.55) and 11th on one-meter (242.75); and diver Jennifer Parks is ninth on three-meter (239.75) and 13th on one-meter (239.60).

Freshman Ann Hepola is seeded 10th in the 1000 free (11:26.03), 11th in the 1650 free (19;22.26) and 14th in the 500 free (5:35.53). Junior Katie Boran is seeded 12th in the 100 fly (64.14), 16th in the 50 free (26.30) and 18th in the 200 fly (2:30.77). Senior Missy Jackson is eighth in the 100 breaststroke (1:12.88) and 10th in the 200 breaststroke (2:39.57). Freshman Cathleen Daly is 11th in the 100 breaststroke (1:13.87).
