Swimming falls to Gusties in dual meet
November 19, 2004
Host Gustavus swept a men's and women's dual meet from St. Thomas Friday night in St. Peter. The Gustie men won 110-82 and the GAC women prevailed 111-72.
Dave Linn won the 100 backstroke (56.51) to lead UST. Kevin Mullee was second in the 100 fly (56.71) and T.J. Hardy was second in the 50 free (22.53).
On the women's side, Catherine Daly won the 100 breaststroke (1:09.42) and took third in the 200 IM (2:22.64). Kryssy Harrod won the 100 back (66.35) and was second in the 200 IM (2:21.88). Kate Boran was second in the 100 fly (64.98).
"We swam wonderfully against an excellent Gustavus team," said UST coach Tom Hodgson. "Tim Mullee set two lifetime bests. Almost all the team had season's bests, and we had a lot of great races against the best in the conference. The Women's 200 Medley Relay is the fastest we have every swum outside of championship competition."
