Men's Swimmers fall to St. John's, 73-34

St. John's won 10 of 13 events to post a 73-34 victory over host St. Thomas in a men's swimming dual meet Saturday at UST's O'Shaughnessy Pool.

Dave Linn won the 100 backstroke (55.00), Dave Turnbloom won the 100 breaststroke (66.00) and UST won the 200 free relay with Kevin Mullee, Tim Mullee, Linn and T.J. Hardy. Their time of 1:28.68 just missed the Tommie school record.

Seconds were scored by Hardy in the 200 free (1:53.50), Turnbloom in the 200 IM (2:08.43), Rob Erickson in one-meter diving (121.65 points) and Kevin Mullee in the 100 fly (54.90).

St. Thomas is off until January as it prepares for final exams this week and takes a holiday-break training trip to Florida.
