Women, Men Tennis combined 7-1 in Hilton Head

The St. Thomas men's and women's tennis teams are playing well on their spring-break trip to Hilton Head, S.C. Both teams conclude their week with Friday matches -- the men vs. Centre (Ky.), and women vs. Principia (Ill.).

The women are 3-0 and have used nine different players.  They beat George Fox (Ore.), 8-1; topped Northwestern (Ohio) 7-2; and beat Sioux Falls 8-1. UST is now 9-3 on the season.

After losing 9-0 to 20th-ranked Whitman (Wash.), the Tommie men have won four straight to sit at 4-1 on spring break and 8-5 on the season. UST beat Oberlin (Ohio) 8-1; edged Whitworth (Wash.) 5-4; topped Northwestern (Ohio) 7-2; and beat Sioux Falls 8-1.
