Men's Tennis gets 7-2 win over Johnnies

The St. Thomas men's tennis team pulled out a few close matches and posted a 7-2 win over St. John's Saturday night at the U of M Baseline courts in the MIAC opener for both squads.

The Toms (2-1 overall, 1-0 MIAC) got two three-set wins in singles. SJU (0-2, 0-1) also had a three-set victory in singles. Brandon Heath, Murphy O'Hearn, Grant Campbell and Patrick Napurski each went 2-0 on the night in singles and doubles.

The Toms play two home matches Saturday in Coughlan Fieldhouse -- Nebraska Wesleyan (9 a.m.) and Concordia-Moorhead (6 p.m.).
