Men's Tennis edges St. Olaf, 5-4

The St. Thomas men's tennis team needed four hours and several comebacks Wednesday to outlast St. Olaf in an MIAC dual meet. The Tommies won 5-4 over the Oles in a dual held at St. Paul's Highland Park High sdchool courts.
UST (7-7 overall, 4-3 MIAC) lost close matches and first and third doubles and won 8-0 at two doubles. St. Thomas lost third set tie breakers at second and sixth singles, but rallied to win at Nos. 1, 3, 4 and 5 singles. Brandon Heath trailed 5-2 before rallying to win the second set at first singles. Murphy O'Hearn at third singles and Josh Tomashek at fifth singles won in straight sets.
The Toms are scheduled to play at Bethel Saturday and at Luther College on Sunday.
