Tennis teams get academic honors

For the second year in a row, the St. Thomas 2006 men's and women's tennis squads received All-Academic honors by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA). Coach Terry Peck's teams qualified with a team grade-point average of 3.20 or better.

Carleton's men and women and St. Ben's women were the other MIAC teams honored. Thirty men's teams and 54 women's teams were recognized in Division III.

Nine individuals also received ITA Scholar Athlete honors with gpas of 3.50 or above -- Grant Campbell, Adam Janzen, Kevin Manzel and Murphy O'Hearn for the men's team, and Christina Alexander, Cortney Dirks, Kasey Engstrom, Nickey Nichols and Leanne Pfeninger for the women.
