Toms lose tight match

The St. Thomas men's tennis team dropped a 5-4 decision to Hamline Monday.

The Toms (4-8 overall, 0-5 MIAC) won at No. 2 doubles and Nos. 4-5 singles with Joshua Tomashek and Kevin Manzel.

Ben Herding hurt his ankle during his match while leading 5-4 at No. 1 doubles, and Hamline rallied to win 8-6. Despite the injury, Herding played and later lost 6-2, 6-3 at first singles.

UST plays April 13 vs. Macalester.
