Freshman Arya Vayghan won in singles and doubles, but St. Thomas lost 7-2 to a stong Carleton team Sunday in MIAC men's tennis play in Lakeville.
Vaygahn pulled out a three-set victory at first singles and won at second doubles with fellow freshman Tyler Rice for the Tommies (2-2 overall, 0-1 MIAC). Rice lost a three-set battle at No. 4 singles.
Carleton (8-0, 3-0) has been MIAC runner-up to Gustavus each of the last four seasons.
