St. Thomas is hosting a men and women's last chance qualifier meet Wednesday at 5 p.m. at O'Shaughnessy Stadium.
Last year at this competition, 24 men and women athletes hit NCAA provisional or automatic times and marks.
Most MIAC schools, Concordia-St. Paul, some Wisconsin athletes and some University of Minnesota unattached athletes will compete. Entries are being accepted until Wednesday noon.
There's also a men's and women's multi-event competition that started Tuesday and finishes Wednesday.
The St. Thomas men and women repeated as conference team champions in the two-day meet that concluded last Saturday in Northfield. The Tommie men, who won the team championship for the 17th time in 19 seasons, compiled a 50-point margin over runner-up St. Olaf. The women, who have won 16 of the last 17 conference team crowns, scored a 16-point win over runner-up Concordia.
Several Tommie athletes have qualified provisionally for the May 23-26 NCAA meet, but many need to improve their ranking to make the final cutoff.
