Men's Track wins four-team Meet of the Saints

The St. Thomas men's track and field team outscored three teams to win Saturday's Meet of the Saints at O'Shaughnessy Stadium. UST scored 226 to beat St. John's (175), St. Olaf (122) and St. Mary's (28).
The Tommies won nine events, and improved NCAA provisional times in the 4x100 relay (41.68), the 110 hurdles with Craig Benson (14.68) and the 400 hurdles with Andrew Hilliard (53.45).
The Toms had two athletes win two individual events -- Roman Cress won the 100 (10.86) and the 200 (22.18), and Aaron Johnson won the discus (42.01m) and the hammer (47.92m). Other winners were Andrew Kisielius in the triple jump (13.61m), and freshman Jason Schweitz in the 400 meters (49.34).
St. Thomas runners-up were Tom Hart in the 200 (22.26); Justin Hall in the 400 (49.65); Ben Kummer in the 5,000 (15:42.73); and Matt McLaughlin in the shot put (12.99m), discus (41.05) and hammer (42.08).
Taking third were freshman Carson Glad in the 100 (10.94); Hall in the 200 (22.36); freshman Cory Fusco in the 800 (1:56.22), Andy Kummer in the 1,500 (4:02.53); Jerrod Gray in the high jump (1.87m); Ben Garbe in the triple jump (13.38m); and Kyle Fisher in the javelin (44.94m).
