Good showing at home for Men's Track

The St. Thomas men's indoor track and field team competed vs. Bethel and some alumni athletes last Friday in a non-team scored competition in Coughlan Fieldhouse.

Jason Simmons won the 55 hurdles (8.27); Roman Cress won the 55 dash (6.49); Jason Schwietz won the 200 (23.82) and 400 (51.17); Andrew Hilliard won the 600 (1:25.22); Eric Liang won the triple jump (12.65 meters); Matt Mclaughlin won the shot put (13.52 meters) and weight throw (14.10 meters); and nate Coleman was second in the1,500 (4:15.28).

The Tommies will compete Friday and Saturday in the Iowa State University Open in Ames, Iowa.
