Smock, Men's 4x400 makes NCAA Track finals

The St. Thomas men's 4x400 relay team qualified for Saturday's finals with the fifth-best time in Friday's prelims. The quartet of Andrew Hilliard, Robert Ware, Jason Schweitz and Carson Glad clocked 3:20.58, just 1.20 seconds behind Wartburg, the fastest qualifier.

UST's Teresa Smock qualified for Saturday's finals in the 800 meters with a prelim time of 2:15.50, a career best. She had the fifth-best time in the eight-person group to advance.

Glad ran Friday's 400 prelims but didn't make the finals after running 50.18.

The Tommie men will have Joe Thomas in Saturday's high jump. UST women will have Karolien Bastiaens in Saturday morning's pole vault.
