Men's Track hits NCAA provisional in 4x400 relay

The St. Thomas men's track and field team placed second in the 4x400 relay in an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 3:20.98 at Saturday's Minnesota State Mankato Open. The non-team scored meet included several scholarship programs from Division II.
P.J. Theisen, Cassidy Glad, Pat Jager and J.J. Kirby comprised the Toms' 4x400 relay.
Theisen also took fifth in the 55 hurdles (7.83) and seventh in the 400 (49.89).
Peter Rosholt just missed an NCAA provisional qualifying mark in the weight throw as he threw 54-0 to place second.
Mark O'Connell took sixth in the weight throw (44-11) and seventh in the shot put (46-10 3-4). Freshman James Ewer was eighth in the 200 (23.21) and had the 10th best prelim time in the 55 (6.63). Freshman Logan O'Grady took seventh in the 3,000 (8:57.23). Freshman Jonah Shermer took ninth in the high jump 6-2 3-4. In the pole vault, Matt Schroeder was eighth (14-3 1-2) and Andy Dauer was ninth (13-9).
