Men's hockey suffers OT loss to No. 6 Pointers

No. 6-ranked UW-Stevens Point used Taner Karty's goal 43 seconds into the 5:00 sudden-death overtime period to take a 2-1 win over the host Tommies Saturday night at Saint Thomas Ice Arena.

The Toms (2-3-1) outshot the visitors 34-31 but went 0-for-5 on the power play and never led. Johnny Panvika scored a second-period goal for St. Thomas. Benjamin Myers stopped 29 shots for UST.

Max Milosek had 33 saves for the Pointers (5-1).
