Senior Andrew Grabowski on Tuesday was named MIAC Men's Swim-Dive Athlete of the Week. This is Grabowski's third career MIAC weekly Athlete of the Week award.
The Park Ridge, Ill., native broke his own school record on one-meter diving (six dives) as he scored 312.37 for first place at the Conference Invite hosted by St. Thomas. He also won three-meter in 335.55.
An MIAC champion in five of a possible six events thus far on his career, Grabowski ranks 30th in Division III in one-meter diving.
The Tommies are off competition this week as they prepare for the Feb. 15-17 MIAC Championships at the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center. After winning no MIAC team titles from 1955-2009, the St. Thomas men have won five of the last eight MIAC team crowns, including three in a row.
