Men's Tennis wins 10th in row, in playoffs

St. Thomas Men's Tennis pushed its win streak to 10 with Saturday's 5-4 win at St. Olaf on a match played in Fridley at Moore Lake Lifetime Fitness.

The victory locked up an MIAC playoff spot for the Tommies (10-2 overall, 6-1 MIAC).

Allen-Michael Muench and Ben Wait went 2-0 each on the day to lead the Tommies. Wait scored the decisive point at six singles with the match deadlocked 4-4.

After losing to Division II regionally-ranked St. Cloud State and to Division III ranked Gustavus, Coach Terry Peck's team has reeled off 10 consecutive victories.

Muench and Wait have each gone 10-0 in singles in the current streak.
