Tommie Men's Track & Field had six top-three placers Friday at the UST Showcase indoor meet in Anderson Fieldhouse.
The multi-team competition was not team scored. It included teams from UW-Eau Claire, UW-Stout, St. Olaf and UST, plus unattached and selected athletes from several other schools.
UST sophomore Michael Witschen won the long jump in a career-best 23-0. It's the 13th best jump in D-III and best in the MIAC thus far in 2015.
Tommie junior Brian Jarvey won the 400 (50.08) and took fourth in the 200 (22.91).
Ryan Queenan placed second in the 600 (1:23.12), the MIAC's third best time of the season.
Dan Sauro placed third in the triple jump (41-6).
Cole Boughner took third in the 200 (22.88).
Tyler Krpan placed third in the 1000 (2:33.69), the fourth best time in the conference in 2015.
Craig Murtha's fifth-place shot put of 50-10 ranks first in the conference.
Micah Hausman's 48-7 1-4 mark in the weight throw is fifth best in the MIAC.
Dylan Baumann's 15:15 clocking in the 5,000 is fourth best in the MIAC.
