Women's Hoops will travel to Wartburg March 9-10

No. 6-ranked St. Thomas will travel to Waverly, Iowa for the March 9-10 Sweet 16 round of the NCAA women's basketball tournament. No. 2- ranked and unbeaten Wartburg will be the host team.

The Tommies (27-2) will meet unranked East Texas Baptist (24-6) next Friday at 5:30 p.m., while No. 7-ranked Trine (Ind.) (26-3) faces Wartburg (29-0) at 8 p.m.
East Texas is in the NCAA playoffs for the first time and won 64-51 at Texas-Dallas on Saturday.
St. Thomas improved to 8-1 this season against 20-win teams with Saturday's 68-62 home defeat of No. 9-ranked Chicago. The Toms are the lone D-III tournament team thus far to beat a top-10 ranked team.
