St. Thomas moved up during Sunday's final round and finished seventh out of 20 teams at the Wartburg Invite in Waverly, Iowa.
The Tommies shot 309, the fifth best round on Sunday, after Saturday's 326 score. Senior Emily Thul tied for 10th out of 120 players (78-75/153).
Morgan McCorkle tied for 22nd (81-78/159). Marja Sorensen tied for 27th (83-77/160). Kate Drimel tied for 41st (84-80/164). Freshmen Hilary Whalen (88-77/165) and Erin Kehoe (88-79/167) also finished in the top half of the tournament field. Kate Balison shot 82 on Sunday.
The Tommies compete next weekend at the 36-hole D-III Classic in Lake City, Minn.
