Women's Cross Country
No. 33-ranked St. Thomas bunched nine runners from 13th to 31st place, led by seniors Ali Glassbrenner (23:08) and Melissa Marsh (23:14) with All-MIAC finishes, and took third of 12 teams at Saturday's MIAC Championships in Northfield.
Carleton (22), St. Olaf (70), St. Thomas (79), Bethel and Gustavus (both at 126) had the top five team places.
UST had a mere 21-second split in their top eight runners.
Tommies Sara Ness (16th, 23:15), Jenny Walz (17th, 23:17), Jenny Launder (18th, 23:18), Becca Wilkin (21st, 23:24), Amber Matzoll (24th, 23:25), Katie Breuckman (26th, 23:39) and Megan Gossfeld (31st, 23:43) joined Glassbrenner and Marsh with finishes in the top 31.
