The No. 8-ranked Tommie volleyball team plays unranked Clarkson (N.Y.) in Thursday's quarterfinals at the national tournament in Holland, Mich.
The UST-Clarkson match will start at 12:30 p.m. (11:30 Minnesota time), with the winner playing Friday at 5 p.m. (4 p.m. Minnesota time).
Here are the first-round pairings for the three-day, eight-team, single-elimination tournament:

Match 1: 12:30 p.m.: St. Thomas (37-1) vs. Clarkson (N.Y.) (31-6)
Match 2: 3 p.m.: Elmhurst (Ill.) (32-7) vs. Salisbury (Md.) (37-3)
Match 3: 5:30 p.m.: Christopher Newport (Va.) (39-2) vs. Mass.-Boston (20-11)
Match 4: 8 p.m.: Calvin (Mich.) vs. Puget Sound (Wash.) (22-5)
St. Thomas joins Christopher Newport as the lone programs making their third consecutive trip to nationals. The Tommies have won 100 matches over the last three seasons. Their 100-13 record in that span includes 32 in a row heading into nationals and a 9-2 NCAA playoff record.
