Volleyball's Reynolds nears second school record
October 21, 2002
St. Thomas outside hitter Katie Reynolds (SR-Mora) is on the verge of adding the school career digs record to her career kills record set in October. Reynolds needs four digs to break the UST record.
Reynolds, a 3X All-MIAC honoree and 2001 All-Region honoree, has a 3.25 gpa in Communications. She's played in 420 games and has 1,879 kills, 1,624 digs, 424 blocks, 112 aces and has a career attack percentage of .335.
Reynolds needs 21 kills to reach 1,900, and 163 to pass 2002 St. Olaf graduate Nicole Trnka -- the Toms' current assistant coach. The Tommies play Nov. 8 in the MIAC playoff semifinals against either Concordia or St. Benedict.
The Tommies are 92-35 in Reynolds' four-year era (36-8 in MIAC matches).
