Volleyball now 7-0 in MIAC after win at Carleton

Senior Emily Buehler had 14 digs, 11 kills and three aces to lead the No. 12-ranked St. Thomas volleyball team to a three-game win at Carleton Wednesday night in MAIC play. The Tommies won 30-28, 30-24, 30-24 to move to 21-4 overall and 7-0 in the MIAC.
The Tommies are 25-2 in their last 27 MIAC regular-season matches. They have home matches Friday vs. St. Olaf (7:30 p.m.) and Saturday (3 p.m.) vs. Bethel as they close in on an MIAC playoff berth and possible first-round bye with four conference matches to play.
Carleton fell to 15-5 and 5-3 in the conference.
Amie Lee Aschenbeck had 13 kills, hit .333 and added three blocks. Jenny Smith hit .714 with six kills and three blocks.
