Volleyball gets 4-game win over Gusties

The St. Thomas volleyball team halted Gustavus' 10-match win streak with a four-game victory Saturday in MIAC action in St. Paul. The Toms lost game one 27-30 but rebounded to win 30-26, 30-23, 30-20.

Freshman Kelly Fitzpatrick had 20 kills and seven blocks and Rachelle Dosch had 12 kills and 12 digs for the Tommies (7-7 overall, 3-1 MIAC), who have won three matches in five-day stretch. The Tommies hit .224 in playing their best match thus far in 2004.

Tara Houlihan had 24 kills and Andrea Kron had 17 kills for the Gusties (12-4, 2-1).
