Volleyball beats Auggies, secures home playoff match

St. Thomas rolled to a three-game volleyball victory Wednesday night in MIAC play at Augsburg. The Tommies won 30-22, 30-20, 30-24.

St. Thomas (16-12 overall, 8-3 MIAC) finished in a three-way tie for third place with Gustavus and St. Ben's in the 12-team conference race.

The Tommies are seeded fourth in the six-team MIAC playoffs and will host Gustavus Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Schoenecker Arena. Tickets are $7 for adults and $3 for students with no passes available. The Tosm beat the Gusties in four games at home Sept. 25.

Amie Lee Aschenbeck had 19 killsand hits over .600 on the match. Erika Wetzel had 13 kills and 15 digs; Rachelle Dosch 13 kills and 12 digs; and Kelly Fitzpatrick had 14 digs.
