Women's Hoops uses balance in slick road win

St. Thomas shot 52 percent from the field and put all five starters in double figures in Saturday's 80-60 win at Augsburg in MIAC women's basketball play.

The Toms (15-5 overall, 13-4 MIAC) raced to a 40-18 halftime lead. They closed with only 13 turnovers and converted 24-of-30 free throws.

Taylor Young scored 16 points and Kellie Ring added 14.

The Toms play Monday at Bethel and are home Wednesday to face Gustavus.
