St. Thomas dropped back into a tie for the MIAC lead with Concordia after Monday night's 69-62 MIAC women's basketball loss on the Cobbers' home floor.
Concordia scored the game's final six points in the last 28 seconds including a key putback by Tricia Sorenson of a missed free throw. UST missed its last three shots.
The No. 9-ranked Tommies (13-3 overall, 11-2 MIAC) led by three points at halftime and later led 39-31 but were unable to maintain the lead. UST made just 1-of-9 from 3-point range after halftime and shot only 33 percent in the final 20:00.
Concordia (12-4, 11-2) has won nine of its last 10 games. The Cobbers had five players score in double figures and outscored UST at the foul line 22-12.
Taylor Young scored 22 points and Jenna Dockter added 17 for the Tommies, who played their second game in a row without starter Kelly Brandenburg.
St. Thomas plays Wednesday at St. Mary's and returns home Saturday to play Hamline.
